On April 13, 2026, the People’s Security Academy (PSA) solemnly organized a meeting and New Year celebration for Laotian international students to mark the traditional Bunpimay New Year. Major General Dr. Nguyen Van Thiet, Vice President of the Academy, presided over the gathering.

The event was attended by representatives from various functional units of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, leaders of functional departments within the People's Security Academy, and the entire body of Laotian international students currently studying at the Academy.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Van Thiet, Vice President of the Academy, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of PSA President, extended his warmest New Year greetings to the Laotian international students studying at the Academy on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year.

The Vice President commended and recognized the positive contributions of the Laotian international students in academics, scientific research, and cultural, artistic, and athletic activities. He further affirmed that the People's Security Academy consistently provides favorable conditions regarding facilities, as well as academic and living environments, to ensure students can focus on their studies and contribute to the continued strength and development of Laos.

Speaking at the gathering, student Chao Tha Vong, representing the Laotian international students at the Academy, expressed his emotions and heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the Party Committee, the Board of PSA President, as well as the leaders of functional units, staff, lecturers, and students. He thanked them for their consistent care and support in both academics and daily life, and for organizing such a meaningful and warm traditional New Year celebration.

The meeting concluded with great success, carrying the hope that the Laotian international students will continue the tradition of maintaining and fostering the close-knit relationship between Vietnam and Laos, ensuring it continues to grow, flourish, and endure forever./.
