On April 2, 2026, a delegation from the People’s Security Academy (PSA) of Vietnam, led by Lieutenant General Trinh Ngoc Quyen, President of the Academy, paid a visit to and held a working session with the People’s Security Academy of Laos.Major General Bounsana Simmalavong, President of the People’s Security Academy of Laos, presided over the session. The meeting was attended by representatives and leaders from various units of both the Laotian and Vietnamese Academies.

During the session, both parties exchanged views and clarified specific issues regarding the implementation of the Minutes of Working Results between the two Academies, coordination in compiling textbooks and teaching materials, and the status of Laotian students currently studying at the PSA of Vietnam.

Addressing at the meeting, Associate Professor Lieutenant General Trinh Ngoc Quyen, on behalf of the delegation, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception provided by the President and the People’s Security Academy of Laos.

On the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Lao People’s Public Security Force (April 5, 1961 – April 5, 2026) and the upcoming traditional Bunpimay New Year of the Lao PDR, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of PSA President of Vietnam, he extended his best New Year wishes to the Board of Directors, staff, and employees of the PSA of Laos. He also proposed the formal transfer of textbooks to the PSA of Laos. This marks a significant milestone, not only for the two Academies but also for Vietnam and Laos, highlighting a journey defined by great effort and achievement.

The meeting and working session concluded successfully. The results once again affirm that the relationship of friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the PSA of Vietnam and the PSA of Laos will continue to be consolidated, elevated to new heights, and further developed./.
